Love your library?  Tell us why!

The library is a popular, busy place and the Board of Trustees and staff are gratified to know that people are enjoying their newly renovated building.  There are 58,741 registered library card holders in Rockdale County.  People come to browse and check out books, movies and music CDs, attend children's and teen programs, to use the Law Library, and to access free Internet in the Computer Center.

We'd like to hear your stories; how you use the library, how the resources here have helped you in your life.  Like everyone, the library has faced budget shortages in recent years and has made necessary and difficult reductions in staff, supplies, and other operating expenses.  Should the library's budget be cut again, tougher choices will have to be made, possibly including a reduction in the number of hours or days we are open.

You can make a difference by becoming an advocate and showing your support for the library as an important community resource for all citizens.  Your testimonies will be shared with the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners.
