Donations

The Conyers-Rockdale Library welcomes donations – both monetary and in new and used materials. All donations are used for the purchase of equipment and/or collection materials and to fund programming and other events at the library. As a nonprofit organization, donations are tax-deductible. The library relies on donations to supplement funding from the county and other agencies – funding which has been severely cut due to recent economic conditions. Donations may be made to the library through one of the following methods.

Ways to Give

  • Donation of Money

Monetary donations may be made to the library online through PayPal:

You may also donate by mail or in-person. Please make checks or money orders out to “Conyers-Rockdale Library” or “Nancy Guinn Memorial Library”.

  • Donation through the Books Honor program

Please see our Honor Someone page.

  • Donation of Materials Through Online Purchase

The Conyers-Rockdale Library has created a wishlist of items on Amazon.

  • Donation of Materials to the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library store accepts donations of books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and other literary and audio-visual materials (except magazines and encyclopedias – for these items, please consider other nonprofit organizations or recycling centers). Donations may be unloaded at the staff entrance of the library next to the Friends store on weekdays from 10am-5pm; ring the doorbell for assistance. Boxed or bagged donations may be left on the loading dock at all other times. The Travis Street entrance provides the best access for both the loading dock and Friends store. Single item donations (or donations of a small number of items) may also be left with the Circulation Desk.

Items donated to the Conyers-Rockdale Library may be considered for addition to the collection; those which are not selected for the collection but are in good condition will be offered for sale in the Friends store. Please note: while the library may review some items for possible addition to the collection, acceptance of donated materials does not guarantee they will be added. However, funds raised through the sale of materials in the Friends store will be used for equipment, library programming, and other materials to enhance and improve the library.

All material donations are tax-deductible; please ask a staff member for a tax donation form when dropping off donated items.
