INTERNET ACCESS
Internet terminals are available without charge for adults and for children
who have a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian. Persons over
18 may access the Internet from designated computers. Those under
18 must have a signed parental permission form or be accompanied by a

ON-LINE RESOURCES: GALILEO
and CD-ROM products
GALILEO, one of the nation's most powerful research tools, is available
on the Library's Internet terminals. GALILEO offers you access to
multiple information resources, including over 70 databases and more than
3,000 journal and magazine articles available in full-text. To access
GALILEO from home, you must come to the library and get
a password from Reference or Circulation staff. The password changes
every 3 months.
Encarta
and a science encyclopedia are available on computers in the Children's
Area. Encarta Encyclopedia, Encarta World Atlas, Encarta Africana, and World
English Dictionary are available on four computers
in the adult reference area.

ReferenceUSA is a research and
reference tool licensed to libraries, educational institutions and
government agencies. Answers to your questions are "at your fingertips" when you visit the Nancy
Guinn Library. Ask the Reference librarian how to get started.
