HISTORY
The Nancy Guinn Memorial Library is named for Mrs. Nancy Graham Guinn, a founder and first president of the Conyers Civic League.  Mrs. Guinn raised funds necessary to establish a public library for Rockdale County in 1920.  Today the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library houses 100,000 books and audiobooks, and videocassettes, compact discs, and other material.  The library is centrally located in Old Town Conyers, at 864 Green Street in a beautiful building which opened in 1990

View of the Nancy Guinn Library from the park in the back. The site upon which the library now stands was once the home of Sally Fanny Gleaton, a notable suffragette and one of the first female pilots in Georgia.  Mrs. Gleaton gave this land to the City of Conyers and it served as a city park before being the home for the library's new facility in 1989.
